Does anyone else get super nervous about these vendor meetings? Despite the fact that we’re essentially the bosses and doing the hiring, I still feel like I’m trying out for a school play or something whenever we have a vendor meeting. Like for some insane reason I want to make sure that my photographer and caterer personally like me. Obviously it’s important to get along with your vendors because it just makes life easier and you need to trust each other, but beyond that I think it’s my people-pleasing nature to make everyone like me. I can’t turn it off, so it bleeds over into things where it’s just silly.
How could anyone think I’m not cool?
Luckily, our photographers were easy to get along with. We met in a coffee house and spent a bit of time chatting about our relationship and their business. They seemed really nice,菲律宾申博太阳城娱乐网 2015.8.3 菲律宾申博太阳城娱乐网 南京科发源植发1100单位实录 – 植发论坛 – 发友网论坛, and we looked over their albums and work and they explained their work philosophies,澳门太阳城娱乐网 A 申博手机版 Scandalous Affair食品运输 国联物流 满意了再选择！-经营快讯-国联物流-大件运输专家, turnaround time, and packages. Mr. Cannon was very impressed with the album, and by the time we left, I knew he was sold. In the car he was enthusiastically talking about everything and was (almost) to my level of over-excitement. However,菲律宾申博国际娱乐城 [求助] 太阳城亚洲娱乐官网 DZ3.2怎么安装，免费空间和域名去哪申请，怎么上传，本人新手，, there was one thing standing between us and our dream photography—an Excel spreadsheet titled “Wedding” with a tab named “Budget.”
Their cheapest package was over our budget, and the one we wanted was WAAAAY over the budget. I wrote Mary asking some questions about timing so we could pick a package with enough time to get all the pictures we wanted. Mr. Cannon and I talked it over at length. Photography was my number one concern. I was absolutely in love with this photography team. No other website gave me the the same feeling. Could we stretch the budget? I did some math and moved some money around. Mr. Cannon and I talked about it some more. Mr. Cannon trusts my budgeting and financial savvy (the best part of getting that finance degree!). I showed him how we could find the money, and he agreed.
The contract was written up, and we submitted our first payment. I will admit we tripled our budget for photography to make this work. But I honestly have zero regrets at this point and am totally pumped. I’ll let you know if I’m still thrilled with our choice to go for it and spend the extra cash after the wedding, but I’m pretty sure I will be. As for now, we’re getting ready for engagement pics. I can’t wait!
Did you have to reconfigure your budget to get something you really wanted?
